Stuffit

Actually, I'm running it under an emulator. I am stuck in a vicious chicken and egg cycle, where I need stuffit expander to open .sit files that I download, but when I download stuffit expander, IT IS ALSO IN .SIT format. Catch 22. ...

Whenever I start Stuffit, it bounces in the Dock for about a minute before it opens. I have turned off "check for updates at startup" and removed the plist files, but nothing seems to help. What's the matter with it?
