Thank you for the answer. I have ditched Stuffit and downloaded Unarchiver - which is as you say far superior. It still will not do the necessary with the Orange software and my feeling is that this is something that Orange must resolve if they care about their Mac Snow Leopard customers or Apple on behalf of their users. I do not hold out a lot of hope after Orange...

Change it using "Get Info", However, I have found that the free app 'The Unarchiver' is faster and opens more files than 'Stuffit Expander'. Try it.

For the past 1 year, I am able to connect to my Windows "server", which is a Windows box running WinXP.
