Im actually replying to this on my wifes XP notebook (its an old 600 MHz ish Toshiba with 128 MB RAM) and it works OK, must admit I find it slightly difficult to find certain settings, but thats just me. Anyway, I don't have too much trouble with Windows, I still prefer OS X, yes they have stolen some design and idea concepts, but who the hell hasn't in this day and age. ...

SimX, I prefer OW too at the moment. But I completely disagree with you on about Chimera future. Chimera bug's are all related to the UI and developing a nice Cocoa UI (hurray for Cocoa) isn't going to be a big deal. Okay I agree that at the moment Chimera is next to unusable... and maybe they should be a little more attentive to developing some of the really big missing...

yep q3 for win will work just fine. All you actually need is hte pak0.pk3 file. Run the q3 1.30 for os x installer, it will make a Quake 3 folder. Put the pak0.pk3 file from the CD (open up the baseq3 folder inside your cd, it may be a few folders deep, it'll be in there though) in the baseq3 folder inside the Quake 3 folder that the installer created.
