Hi, I am trying to make some backups of some of my DVD collection. I am using Toast to attempt to burn the VIDEO_TS, but of course it complains about the encryption which is fair enough. I have trying using Mactheripper and also SimplyBurns with no success. Does anyone have a definitive guide on how to burn encrypted VIDEO_TS to DVD-R on OSX? Thanks in advance. D

Both the superdrive and the external Pioneer drive error in Toast and Disk Utility, I've tried with two different brands too, seems weird that it's happening with both drives as the Pioneer drive is virtually new (only used about 5 times). I haven't tried any CD's as I don't actually own any (I use my iPhone on my Alpine headunit)

Sounds like the drive's going bad. Does this error appear in various burning programs (Toast, Disk Utility, etc.), or just one, specific burning program? Does the drive burn CDs ok?

dropped the new copy. It worked perfectly fine. I had the same issue while attempting to install an update for Toast Titanium. I have not deleted the current copy, because I do not know if the update is a patch, or a newer version of the program. Strange. ...
