strangely netscape 7.01 on my mac will connect and read mail form my linux redhat pop server but the mac mail client on the same mac wont!! whats going on? any ideas? it dies after trying to send the password saying that there was a problem attmepting to donwload the mail..

no i havent really tried as our nis master when down! looking at ldap on a linux box which is easier for the macs to deal with anyway. good luck!
