can iDisk mobileme copies automatically be updated when a change is made to to the hard drive copy?

I have setup Time Machine for backups. When I go to the Console log I see this Unable to scan the partition table od "/dev/disk/" What does this mean and am I not backing up to my Western Digital external hard drive ? How do I correct this? I'm very confused Thank you Maria

The game Bookworm was downloaded from the Apple site and placed in the dock dock and there was no problem opening and closing all day The next day Bookworm would not open and bounced only once in the dock I went to applications folder double clicked the icon and Bookworm opens. Again...
