I have foolishly/wisely installed OSX PB straight over a fresh OS9 install. [no please don't panic here - it is just a spare, unused iMac ... no humans were injured and no data lost.] However I cannot boot into OS9 ... the startup panel (of System Preferences) just quits whenever...

So what os x compliant software is there to encode mp3s???

I noticed in your suggestion to include config as a footer that you had several cards installed. So .. do the cards work with OS X and do the disks running off the cards run with OS X?? HTH people like me work out possible installs thanx -tk

I am hoping to install on a UMAX clone w/ G3 upgrade & Ultra SCSI2 card/drives as it is just sitting around unused. Alternatively I will have to use a supported iMac. So was just wondering what successes people have had on installing on older machines - especially ones with upgrades. - tk
