I have these entry-level speakers sitting around and I thought it would be a good addition for my iMac. They worked with my 12" PowerBook G4's audio output but it doesn't seem to work with my iMac. I've seen these optical audio outputs before. Sorry if it's such an audiophile noob question...

I, too would like those widgets. I notice that when you have more things on the menu bar, the slower it gets on start-up.

I'm gonna go on a limb here... I can't imagine a kid listening to an iPod. Hence, they get the mini. It would be more appropriate to see a kid with a mini. Let's leave the big ones to the grown-ups. :-) Just like macgeek here said. To expand the market and capture more market.

Screw MTV. Go with VH1. Their stuff is better than MTV. MTV is way too commercial. It's more about consumerism rather than music.

Another solution is to stick to hfs (mac os extended journaled or not) and install MacDrive 5 on PC. However, not all PCs would have it so you need to go through the hassle of installing such a thing.

I would say that it's an issue of brand awareness. The name bears the selling point. Only 'geeks' or 'know-it-all' would've thought 'Oh, Konfabulator was first...' Given that - check out konfabulator's web site. Interesting. I think I'll rather wait Q1 2005 :)

I run the game at its lowest resolution - 640 x 480 pixels. Not bad - occasional lags. That's probably because my memory is not maxed out.
