Go to VT, find Video LAN Client and use that. If not, find MPlayer OSX and use that. QuickTime 6 was supposed to play MP4 video with AAC sound, not DivX video with mp3 sound.
thans i have VL but i havent tried it yet, n divx is mpeg4 and ever since 5 qt plays stand alone mp3 vbr but not when its embeded in a divx(mpeg4) movie, but ill try those two apps to se if they work , thanks
DivX is a tweaked MP4 and not the MP4 Apple and Real are supporting now. I have no doubt a codec will come along to let you play DivX movies with mp3 sound on QT thou
thanks alot, VL worked perfectly, ive had vl for a while now using it to play mpeg2 files, but never tried to open up a divx movie, i wish i would have known sooner, now i dont have to use divx dr
that realy sucks since most divx movies are encoded in vbr
