I have successfully setup, installed and configured my new airport express on my PowerBook G4 laptop running Panther. I am even able to connect to the Internet through the airport Express on the MAC laptop.
However, the WIN laptop, running XP Pro, cannot connect to the Airport Express. The PC has a NetGear 54MB wireless card (Wg511) in the pci slot. this wireless card does 'see' the airport express, yet it doesn't connect to it and cannot connect to the Internet. Everytime I plug the wireless card into the slot, a new wireless network config shows up in my network places. When I try to tweak the network config, it keeps popping up with a message that says that the WEP password that I enter must be 40 bit characters or something along those lines. I have a feeling that this may be the issue, but not sure. Somewhere along the lines in this forum, I read a post from someone showing screen shots of this and they said that the password needs to be entered in HEX format. What is this and how do I get the HEX format for the password that I know is correct for the airport express?
Thanks for everyone's help!
