This is a strange one but here goes...
Only when I'm in my Administrator account the strangest thing happens. When I choose Get Info on a file or directory for which I am the owner and open "Ownership and Permissions", the owner's name (which should be me) is either in garbled text or in an Asian font. Now my system is set for English and when I check owners and groups in the Terminal, it is correct. I've also done a repair of the privilages and that hasn't helped clear up the weirdness in Get Info.
Granted this seems to be only a cosmetic issue but it's bugging me like crazy. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Also, when log in as Root, and to view the "Ownership and Permissions" tab of Get Info, the Owner name is blank for the administrator, but not for other, non-admin users.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed. I've also attached a picture that illustrates the problem.
