Brother Laser HL-1240 & Jaguar ?

I haven't upgraded to OS 10.2 yet.

Does anyone know if the Brother HL-1240 laser printer will still work under OS 10.2? I seem to recall that OS 10.1 initially broke the driver, and I don't want to lose my printing ability. The website driver is back from April.

Feel free to comment on other Brother printers as well, as any problem would probably affect all models.

Hi

I didnt have time to install the brother driver but i use the general driver from apple for now with the latest jaguar build and it works good. See no problems so far.

Actually, i could'nt hold out, and I went ahead and installed Jaguar, and I'm just checking the system out now. Fortunately, printing worked fine! The Brother driver seems to work correctly.
 
While my install worked, I found this message at Brother's OS X page:
26/Aug/02:
Information about Mac OS X 10.2

We are aware that some models can not print from MAC OS 10.2.
Brother is working with Apple to provide a fix.
As soon as we solve the problem, we will post the fix on our WEB site.
