Google search problem

When I do a google search for something and then click on a link, sometimes I will get a blank page and a message in the header. The message says "aclk (gif image 1X1 pixels)." What is this and how can I go to the link without getting a blank page? I am using Firefox on a Mac Book Pro.

What address is showing in the address bar?
Are you using any plugins for Firefox?
What does Safari do?
