Help installing putty under x11

Can anyone help me to install putty under x11? I have run:

sudo port install putty
(this looks like it installs something)

then i open x11 and run:

sudo putty
(and I get nothing)

everything else is working; rdesktop, ethereal, etc...

some help in getting this working would be greatly appreciated

Can anyone help me to install putty under x11?

Is putty == PuTTY, the ssh terminal emulator (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/)?

I can't seem to find other references to the search "putty software" in google, but I don't understand exactly why you'd want a terminal emulator when osx has one built in.
