iChat "Could not connect to AIM"...

Hi

I've been running Panther since it came out and have had no real problems...

iChat is one of the apps I use every day and, aside from imperfect comms from time to time, it's been fine.

This morning it just won't work - i.e. it won't connect at all...

Internet connection is fine - mail and safari have no problem.

Each time I try to connect I get the following alert :

Anyone had experience of this? Any ideas why this would suddenly start happenning?

I want my iChat back!!!

Could be the AIM login server was having problems. Or perhaps your ISP had a problem where that port was being blocked. Try again with either, a different client, or wait till tomorrow and try again. or perhaps try the aim website. maybe it has a message about outages.

Can't see anything on the AIM site (I hadn't thought to look there before though!)

Just tried setting up a new account on my laptop to make sure no third party software was affecting it, but that didn't work either...

I guess I'll just have to try tomorrow!
