Is it or Is it not possible???

The "remounting smb shares" Thread mentioned some things and a link to opensource.apple.com article mentioned some things.. but they all have the same bloody results...

IS it or is it NOT going to be possible to have an SMB share mounted automaticly when you log-in or when clicking on an alias....??

It's frustration for the casual user at my work place to have to remember to mount the drive manualy and enter their password and so-forth each time...

I've tried and tried every trick I've read.... and nothing by gosh works automaticly ... this is something that every OS (Except Mac OS X) can do and has been able to do for who knows how long ....

Anyone know of something new to try ?????

I'll try it !

I think ... it is ...

try to build a Startup Sript and then place it in your ~/Library/StartupItems directory ...

NOTE: I don't know how to unmount it !!
