I'm confused over which external firewire drives are bootable. I have a 30g LaCie fw drive which doesn't turn up as an alternative install disk when I boot up from the OSX CD (although my Ipod and G4 powerbook in FW mode will do so). Does this mean that the LaCie drive is not bootable? Or does anyone know how to install OSX on it, without using the install CD?
