hi,
after upgrading a mac-mini to 10.4.10, i can consistantly freeze it by running either tcpflow or tcpdump.
appearantly this is caused by a bug in 'lookupd' that is around already for a few years..
there are planty of posts on the net about this problem, and supposedly it's filed in radar (radr://problem/3632865).

you can find a workaround (that sadly doesn't work for me..)
but my question is:
did some else experience this, AND find a -real- solution to the problem?
i'm using tcpflow and/or tcpdump all the time, but next to that, the lookupd problem can crash the system in many other cases as well..
