I am a designer that has been given the task to do system administration for the company i work for (3 years now) and although i have a wide technical understanding and -to my oppinion- am doing a good job thanxs to the apple folks i still have some difficulties regarding the 'user experience' of the network amongst the company.
I have an Xserve G4 1.2 Ghz dp that is mainly serving OS9 designers and a few windows users. My main concern is the experience of the designers, because of their frequent use of the server.
What i would llike to know is how to configure the OS9clients/server in a way they can log on to their individual machine using a password and being given access to network drives without having to use their password again (without keychains and without having a home directory on the network because of the large files we work on).
Maybe an experienced system administrator can give me a hand on this or maybe hand me an URL that handles issues in a simmular environment? I would be very gratefull to receive some kind of help....
