I know this has probably been hashed out a lot, but I think I've found every available fix, suggestion and work around and still cannot get this going.
We have recently added AD to our network and I'm now trying to get my macintosh to mount up the smb share we have setup on a windows 2003 server.
I have 10.4.8 on an Dual core Intel G5. I can ping the IP and the DNS name from my macintosh.
I've added the line minauth=none to the .conf file.
I've had the appropriate ports opened up on the firewall, but still, I'm getting the -36 error after a very long trying. I look at console and this is what I see:
mount_smbfs: negotiate phase failed: syserr = Operation timed out
Can anyone please give me some hints as to what might be happening?
Thanks in advanced.
