Network Browser for X

I'm kinda curious, does X have a network browser like 9 did? If so, where is it?

go / connect to server

you can browse using this dialog box. It even allows you to browse CIFS/SMB shares in 10.2

I assume i type that into the terminal right?

nope... it's the 'Go' menu in the Finder....within that menu you'll find "Connect to Server' at the bottom.
