Reinstalling 9.2.2

I recently wiped my whole system and reinstalled Panther. Can I still install system 9? I would like to add this operating system to my computer without wiping out OSX.
How would I go about doing this?

You should be able to. Just boot your G4 (assuming it is able to boot to OS9 and not just OSX)from the OS9 CD and install it as normal. Reboot and change the start up disk to the OSX system.

When you did the wipe/reinstall of X, did you check the box
that says "include OS9 HD drivers" when you reformatted?
If not, you'll need to start all over again.

For future reference, if you back up your Mac OS 9 system folder onto a CD, then you can just drag it back on to the hard drive for Mac OS X to start using it for Classic again. And it'll work just fine (if you have a system that can boot 9 and have the 9 disk drivers installed) to start up the system too.

His machine does boot into OS 9, or he wouldn't have the option to install 9 drivers.
