Removing those pesky iBook scratches

The only complaint I have about the new iBook is that, despite claims from Apple that it is resistant to damage, the clear covering scratches WAY to easily.

I sent in my iBook for repair (for some water damage), and it came back with the case all marked -- apparently from handling by the repair people.

Anyone got ideas on how to remove little dings and nicks? I saw this post somewhere on the web, where a guy suggests using a scratch remover. Anyone have experience with this or other methods of removing scratches?

Hi folks:

Well I tried out Novus #2 and it works GREAT! Got rid of the scratches that the repairmen put into my iBook. Also I used a product called Brillianze afterwards to finish it off, and the iBook looks brand new. The two products also help prevent new scratches, dust, and fingerprints. My fingers leave unnoticeable marks on the cover now, whereas they left really noticeable marks on my iBook when i first touched it.

Just FYI.

Thanks for the post man .. iceBook scratches are pretty much unavoidable. I've also seen a product called 'iKlear' or something similar, and it's a polish meant specifically for the plastic cases Apples use for the iMac, Power Mac and iBook. I haven't tried it yet but I probably should do something soon .. my book's looking a bit 'worn.'

Here's a link to the product: http://www.themacsmith.com/klear.html
