stuck item on desktop!

I have a stuck file on my desktop.

Everytime I try to move to another folder or to the trash I get a message saying that its being used by another task! Its been like this for 3 days now!

How do I get rid of this annoying problem??
 
Open the terminal and type:

cd ~/.Trash
<hit return>

sudo rm -rf

put a space after the f and drag the item you want deleted to the terminal so that its path is automatically entered, then press return

give it your admin password and hit return
 
Sorry dude. Didn't mean to sound flippant, just wrote the first obvious thing that came to mind. Glad it worked out for you. Thank you too, bobw.
