X-Serve RAID??!!!

Makes me wish we had gotten the XServe instead! :D

Steve talked about this here in the US as well when he first introduced the XServe, the External RAID storage device was still being worked on tho.
 
Yah.. they talked about this at an Xserve seminar I attended @ Apple's Cupertino campus. They made a big deal about the fact that you can take the hot-plug drives out of the xserve and add them to this raid box.

Just wished that they had one available. They also would not give any further info on when they expect to have them ready. The usual tight-lipped response typical of Apple.

Xserve is turning out to look like a very solid package for admins.:)

Oh heck yeah! Man I'm almost mad that we got the Tower instead (damned budget!) :p

Now if they would only make another box that you can stick internal drives into (CD/DVD Burners, Zip Drive, etc.) that would totally rock! :)
 
About a month or two ago, I had a post on here about just this thing. And got ridiculed for it! Well you all can eat my shorts!

ok end whine session.

Too bad I have no actual use for an xserve, they are sweet.
