for clarification, when i install the mac os x 10.5.6 update combined from the software update, it says that the contents of the package cannot be verified and cannot be intalled

I have tried both, and both lea to similar results. I believe that the combo update had the red exclamation point on my hard drive, and using the software update over the internet, it gave me some error messages that i cannot recall at the moment.

I was recently trying to download the new Safari 4 beta onto my 2.2 ghz black macbook, running leopard 10.5.2. when I downloaded it, it said i needed the 10.5.6 update. I tried installing it and the other items in my software update, but i get numerous errors. for one, installing a quicktime...
