hi jtrain, i also have the exact same issue with an imac G5. ie horizontal screen lines apearing consistantly, mac seems to boot as can see the desktop but so mny horizontal screen lines that cannot use the machine. did you manage to get anywhere with your problem ? what was the issue ...
