hello all i have been using my macbook air for a week or so and mail seemed to be working fine but now it crashes when i try to read certain new email. i repaired permissions with disk utility several times and still crash it also retains the windows opened status at the last startup...

hi tpd i am the original poster with the dock problem - it did go away for a while but . . . it's back and yes i did have a wireless mouse but i stpped using it in favor of the apple mighty mouse - love that little scroll ball anyway- i will try to delete the prefs for the old wireless...

thank you for the suggestions - having logged out and restarted a second time seems to have fixed the dock at least for the last two days so maybe i had a hiccup. ill be monitoring and let you all know if it comes up again thank you for the suggestions

it is set to auto hide but it only "hides" once then it stays hidden -???

i just got a g5 quad (not bragging but smiling) BUT the dock disappears randomly - anyone seen this?? i can get it back by going to the dock pref but it won't automatically open any suggestions?
