Is there any way that iTunes can display the visualizer on both screens of a dual head setup without turning on mirroring? This is a bit of a pain because I want it on my TV and on my screen during parties when Im using iTunes as my jukebox. Any Ideas?
Given, reasons aside why I would want to keep iTunes, iChat, etc active... We still have accomplished almost nothing? Any ideas how to keep them active?
So its intentional that Apple did this Im assuming... Its really bugging me, if you have any more ideas let me know... possibly could be done through the command line... setting priority? Obviously it cant kill all processes when you switch users, so there has to be a tag somewhere Im assuming...?
Here's a rather novel idea. Is there a way that when I switch users in 10.3 with fast user switching that it wont pause all my processes. For instance, hit login window, but not log out of iChat. Note: Windows XP does this (which I despise) Or switch to root without having iTunes pause...
expand. Put a cool OSX Utilities/Hacks software section. Also maybe a case gallery and or Desktop Gallery to give us a place to show off out custom rigs. Im totally thinking like a total Mod archive with themes and desktop pics and cool stuff that all nerds like. More than just message...
Panther seems to have problems with the whole sleep issue, if my iMac DV falls alseep it wont wake up.... ever. Totally bloches the whole machine up. I actually have had to re-install 10.3 three times on that Machine. Total hasse.
Also try reparing the OS 9 permissions with Disk Utility found in your utilities folder. Upgrading to OSX totally screwed with my movie library and this fixed my problem.
Ah, the problem was with my computer, not the iPod, I reinstalled panther and bingo, the thing works fine... I have no Idea what was wrong... Agreed the first gen iPods are a little quirky. I want a dockable one badly.
Yea, then again, the moral debate edges on... Apple used to give their OSes out for free... why should we have to pay for them now? I split the cost of panther with my 8 room mates and now were all running it. I paid enough for my computer. I bought 10.1 and 10.2 no way in hell was I going...
What exactly do you mean by lossy? Its all relative, by the time that the recording studio burns a CD the audio quality has allready gone through a downgrade. You can trace the Loss Tree all the way back to the microphone itself, which degrades sound quality. Its what is acceptable that...
side note... pop open your CPU monitor... notice only one of the processors is being used. My dualie 1ghz ran it in 48 seconds with itunes, safari, photoshop, dreamweaver, and ichat open. No point being made at all.
In the most logical sense, apple should buy IBM. It would boost apple productivity accross the field. IBM is an innovative powerhouse... just imagine the IBM thinktank under apples controll...
