How about trying this, go to preferences and find your desktop & screensaver prefs>trash them>empty the trash and a new set of prefs is auto. Created. Sometimes the prefs just get confused. Good luck DICKSTER-----

Celestial---you might try BRATTOO's duplicate & thumbnail annihilator. It works quite well for me ! $7.99---it does all the mundane work of removing duplicates and thumbnail duplicates and it works in the background. BRATTOO.COM AND DOWNLOAD. works very smoothly. DICKSTER-----

Hey-try open safari then go up to lh corner of desktop-key on safari and in drop down menu double click on reset safari---this may do the trick for you DICKSTER-----

Is this apple's "iPhoto", if so, try trashing your iPhoto preferences ( in library ) go to menu bar at top of desk top, hold down "opt" key and select library in drop down menu. Then go to preferences and drag iPhoto prefs to trash and new one will be created. This may do the trick. Good luck...

Try--applications>utilities>activity monitor>processes>scroll til you find the offender>highlite it and go up to oh corner ( red symbol ) and quit process. Close out on all and see if that might get rid of it. Hope so DICKSTER------

BUMPING AROUND ON COMPUTOR, I FOUND THE DROPBOX FOLDER; in my home folder. [not where i was looking for it ] I drug it to my apps folder in the hd, made an alias of it and put it on desktop. I can now access it and it works. just fyi for all. Dickster-----

You might try "time mAchine " and restore iPhoto app. Or reinstall iPhoto from your iLife disk. DICKSTER-----
