Whenever I try to empty the Trash in OS X I get 'The operation cannot be completed because the item ".Trash" is in use', so I can't delete anything. I've placed Trash items on the desktop and emptied them in OS 9, but even if I create a New Folder in OS X and place it in the Trash, I get this...
