i have the most recent firmware and the cable connection is fine. i think i'll just get a new wireless router from linksys. they seem much more reliable from what i've read. thanks for the advice.

yep, i too am using the d-link di-524 wireless router and it just stops broadcasting at random intervals. i'm on a 15" powerbook and it seems to work fine on other wireless networks. my roomates hp laptop doesn't get cut off randomly like i do. it's strange it's been doing it for a while now...
