    Ok, I think this is the deal. My 10.3 disks are upgrade disks from Apple, $19.95 because ALbook was purchased close to the 10.3 release..upgrade disks don't allow an archive and install (clean ala OS9). Now I am wondering if I will be able to erase the disk (thanks Mr. President) and...

    Thanks, yes, beautiful sense. But I was hoping to be able to keep the drives content intact and just clean install the OS. The way we could w/OS9. Maybe this just won't work with OS X.
