Yeah, that was what I tried, going to Macromedia and getting the plugin x_x This sounds like one of these obscure problems that Macromedia and Apple fix and I don't feel like waiting, so renewing OS X should do the trick.

Upon installing Macromedia Flash 8, I mistakenly allowed it to install an outdated version of the flash player plugin, now, Safari always asks me to install the missing plug-in. The version available for download from Macromedia seems to be outdated (same problem). Is the "current" working...
