Thanks nixgeek, a strange thing. I toggled the spin down disk when possible switch, and tried it. I can hear the hard drive spinning down, but the fans keep going! And they are loud. Any idea? JSC

I've got 10.3.9 on a dual 867 G4, 1.5 G of ram, and when I give it the sleep command, the screen shuts down, but the hard drive does not, it keeps going. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks JSC

Hello all, Just found a necessary file, old, compressed in DiskDoubler, and to my horror, I have not saved a copy of that old Classic compression utility. YOIKS. It is NO where on the web to be found. Apparently DDExpand is supposed to be available, but I have not found a working file of that...
