MPlayer OSX is just a frontend to the mplayer binary. I recommend compiling mplayer from CVS and using GUI. The version distributed with MPlayer OSX is always going to be old compared to CVS. Personally, I'd rather use mplayer from the shell but I know a lot of people enjoy using GUI programs.
I guess the majority of people who purchase macs would love this. I don't think it would be something I would like, though... I like simple things that don't change colors or have bright colors. Hopefully they don't go too far with this idea/patent.
'sudo pico inetd.conf'
uncomment the last like that had identd
save the file and exit
'sudo kill -HUP pid'
for pid you need to put the process id of inetd
you can find it by doing something like:
'ps aux | grep -v grep | grep inetd'
What I recommend doing is the following:
Install fink and use it to compile and install other unix programs.
http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/index.php
After you've installed fink open a terminal.app and type 'fink install bitchx'
This will install all the programs that bitchx...
Brute force password hacking isn't really that hard to do... but I give him some credit.
Then again the password to the computer was a name and wasn't even alphanumeric.
