Pcouture,
Take a look at cisco's wireless card(aironet 350). They are a bit more expensive then the regular cards, but I have had nothing but the best experiences with them. There are OSX drivers and software.
Anyone have anything different to say about them? My mac is wireless all the time...
I have JAG and it works natively, but how it implements samba is inferior to how Dave works. Dave is much faster and when I am plugged in, it is wonderful to use. Also does not create those Ds.store files on the drives I browse.
Wireless wise, it does not work.. I have tested it for a...
Does Dave 4.0 have wireless support? I cannot get it to mount any shares when i am connected wirelessly. I have searched the web for answers but found nothing so far. All the settings seem to be correct as if I pull the wireless card out and plug in, it works fine.
Any help would be...
Thank you very much. I have basically decided to continue to use bind locally. I have a very different situation where I hardly ever need to connect to shares just machines by name so DNS does work well. I cannot just use the office dns server as I run a server farm on a network that is not...
I need to be able to use Wins with Jaguar. Do I need Dave or does Jaguar support it natively. I am faily new to Macs so I am probably missing the obvious.
I have bind setup and running and have been using that, but mainly just wanted to know if it supports it. Did not really need a dns...
Well, I download a ton of things per day, not only for personal, but for work when I am testing our web applications and things of that nature. I am ok with it self extracting automatically, but what it does is stuffit launches and opens up the file and shows the contents in a window right on...
Not new to computers, but brand new to Mac. Just purchased a new powerbook and tons of software for it. All is going well, but have a, probably stupid question.
When I down load anything compressed, it tries automatically to extract it. I have told IE not to do any automatic extracting but...
Not really. I can expense the purchase to work. I just wanted to have it before the 4 day weekend. I did call Microsoft. They told me 7-8 business days. So, I went to Compusa and did not even think that they would have it but they did and I spent the 279, or work did...
I sold the one...
Cool, I hope you get it. I now have something even more ironic. I just got a call from the receptionist and she said I have a package. Low and behold Microsoft overnighted me Office X. So now I am sitting here with 2 Office X cds. Although, the one from Microsoft did not come in a box, just...
Weird, because I called Microsoft yesterday, ordered the product and should receive it in 3-7 business days. They only ship it Us Mail and you cannot upgrade the shipping.
Also, since I needed to have it, I went to the local CompUSA and low and behold they have it in stock. I bought a copy...
