Thanks for the replies. I looked in library/input methods (there was no input managers) and it's empty. So I'm still not sure how to remove AcidSearch. I've already tried installing newer versions - no luck.
And thanks Ora, I'll try that program once I've got Safari back up and running.
Oh, and by the way, I'm using the new Macbook Pro. I believe I've updated Safari too. I don't remember which version of Acid Search I installed, but I think it was the newest one.
