What? What kind of idiot releases a piece of freeware these days without releasing the source. Moreover, what kind of benchmarking tool is credible without the source code? Apple users just keep on amazing me.

I would love to see someone grab a copy of XBench and get it built under Intel so we can really compare its performance. Any takers?

All I can add is that my old Thinkpad @ 2 Ghz encoded movies a HECK of a lot faster than this thing @ 1.67. I mean in almost half the time.

Does OSX have anything similar to hcitool? hcitool can be use for, among other things, detecting bluetooth devices in proximity. I'd love to code up a widget around something like that, if it exists.
