I wouldn't be complaining about that to much guys. My vaio had MAYBE 2 hrs new and is now down about 20 minutes. So i saved the $200 for a new battery and bought a new pb :)
I don't know about the reliable, I couldn't get the keynote to work on my pb and ended up watching it on my pc.
But anyway, that guy is just trying to justify carrying around 5 more lbs and MUCH shorter battery life.
I agreee with MOST of what you said and I too like to engage in a good old debate now and then but I have a cold and a pounding headache.
I never mentioned anything about becoming an identured servant, just about sparking your interest in developing on a mac.
Straight from the student adc...
The ADC isn't a secret at all. I'm just saying don't join it just to save some money on purchasing a new comp. It's meant to be a program where you contribute something back to Apple hence making their investment of discounting hardware/software worthwhile, not for someone who is just going to...
I understand your wanting to tell others about ADC, but not in this way. I am an ADC member and greatly appreciate the discount, but I value the membership more. The tools and value of it are priceless. I just hope you don't consider it as a discount pb and blow a good thing for others.
I was all stoked about the keynote yesterday.
PB= check.
Airport=check.
First stream on the mac=dud.
I ended up watching the thing on my pc because I couldn't get it to work on my pb. Then they announce the new ones. DOH!! But anyway, I'm not to upset, people have to wait 7-10 weeks for...
I just bought a Powerbook and it doesn't even support "g".
Would be nice, but I don't feel like shelling out for another base station so I don't really care. And besides, if i need speed that bad I can always just plug it in.

You're right it wasn't on a mac, but comparing the 440 and 9000, they're almost identical. It's a tossup between the two. Now as far as the 460 thats something else.
Tom's hardware had a test of the ati 9000, 420 4go, 440 4 go, and 460 4 go and the 9000 thoroughly stomped the 440 4 go in MOST tests but not all. The 460 was the only competition for it.
