i want to install os x leopard

DeltaMac has a great suggestion for you! Another way, but I don't know if you're able to do this, it's a bit advanced: There are many files in the Leopard installer that you don't need on there. i.e. Printer drivers, etc. if you can cut down everything you don't need, it should fit on a 4GB...

Semid not available in second process

I think you might get better help here: http://macosx.com/forums/software-programming-web-scripting/ the above linked forum is for programming, this current forum you have posted in is for more general USE help. So, better visibility for more qualified people perhaps in the link above.

i want to install os x leopard

hi fckykchy, unfortunately "LIVE" partitioning didn't get added until Leopard! So, in tiger, you would have to ERASE the whole disk to re-Partition it! You don't want to do that unless you make a full backup of all your files somewhere first I imagine. Also, there is no guarantee that the CD...

    "Phantom" drive image

I've had this happen with some FTP programs or something a while ago downloading to an external HD/Volume that was not turned on, so it would create a sort of "Virtual Disk". It usually went away on restarts though, at least if I deleted everything on it. Well, first off I would make sure to...

    Mail rule to copy message.

Hi Whitehill, the problem with rules is: they only work on messages the computer has downloaded. So, you could leave your computer on and have it check email automatically every single minute, so it's not likely that one won't be downloaded to the ipad and deleted before you get a chance to d/l...

    Fanboyism and Brand Loyalty

Definitely agree with you Giaguara. Lol, I the Nokia phone I had before I finally switched to iPhone (last year no less) was my favorite phone, and part of it was the reliability and I had known in the late 90's about ~. And sure enough, the phone delivered, until the charging port broke... doh...

    Cisco Client in Login Items

Sometimes daemons/Agents are embedded in the application package itself. Right click on the ".app" file (the program) in your Applications folder and select "Show Package Contents..." poke around in there and see if you can find it. Basically what I think Delta, (and myself) are telling you to...

    computer not starting up completely

I'd try holding down the shift key while starting up, or booting up from the INSTALL DISC. and going into disc utility in the software/utilities menu and select "Verify Disc" (also, repairing permissions again can't hurt, sometimes it takes more than once.)

    iCal alarm "snooze" choices editable?

I look in the nib files in the application package and found some close areas like the alarm dialog, but I couldn't find one for the actual alarm pop-up snooze button for certain. Not only that, but this would kinda be shooting blind since I don't know what the values would have to be changed...

what? there is no "*"... where is the "*" what are you referring to? Let's get oriented really quick: Open the file in text edit. Then hold the "apple" key aka. "command" and hit the "f" key. This should bring up a "search/find" bar. That has, from left to right, a magnifying glass, the word...

How to install Mac OSX onto 2nd new hdd then remove old OSX from old hard drive

    1. yes, that's a fine and fast way to do it if it's easy for you. 2. Yes, you can delete any files you like from the OLD 750GB drive. BUT, if you want to migrate all your preferences/email etc. you should use migration assistant to do that FIRST. If you just want to leave your MUSIC and PICTURES...
