Thanks Bob - unfortunately the same thing happened - a big white box saying 'you must restart...'

I have a file (I think it's some sort of plug-in for Nisus). When I delete it my Powerbook crashes (very badly). I've tried using Obliter8 but the same thing happens. Any suggesions welcome. OSX 10.2.5/G4 powerbook Thanks
