I could be wrong but isnt Apple already having to weigh down the 20" imacs to keep them from falling over? Why would they want them to have a lighter base? Just look at the difference in weight between the two top models. Its crazy.

Nah I got a student developer discount. Most used powerbooks were the same price or more than my 1.25 w/ SD with the discount. Also I had a powerbook in the past and got rid of it because of all the problems.. paint chipping, too hot, keyboard breaking, ect ect. Wasn't going to get a product...

Anyone have a GPS device for their mac or recommendations. I think I'd like one for the PCMCIA slot but also hear there's a bluetooth one out there. Haven't heard if it's compatible with the BT in mac or now. Finding out some BT devices are not.

Any chance for a metal imac? Instead of the current plastic white? Also... when are they going to put slot loading drives in the imac. I really dont like the flip out door on the current model... it's just ugly :)

Wow where does everyone get money to own all these macs? :) I'm a poor college student so I've been saving forever for my new 15" AluBook. Best investment ever.

I got mine 'Book replaced due to white sports and haven't had any problems yet. Turn around for sending it in and receiving a replacement was 1 week. I was VERY pleased with the results. Just thought I would pass this along.

Also forgot to mention I really hate the fact the icon spacing is so wide. I wish that was adjustable. Has anyone found a hack for this yet?

Startup seems really slow under 10.3.2 for some reason. My new 15" 'book seems to take like 2 minutes to start up.
