Tried to upgrade from AppFresh and looks like I have to get access to the OS X website to do it. I'm tethered to my Android phone right now and its having issues hitting up against that site, so I'll have to try later. thanks

Not sure what you mean by a fine update? Can you explain more. Also in Linux most distros have a package manager that lets you know when software has to be updated. With Windows, you can get 3rd party software that does this work. Does Apple has anything for the 3rd party software too...
