I only rent DVD's since I got my TiBook and it's my only DVD player. I can't stand the resolution of a TV screen anymore so I'd never get a "real" DVD player, at least until I can afford one of those huge HDTV's.

I don't know; I've had a TiBook for 6 months now and I've only heard the fan kick on about 3 times. Of course it only has 400mhz but it's at least as square edged as the cube. What was I talking about again?:confused:

I don't think you are looking for pity party at all; I think you are bragging that you have found a machine that you think is cooler looking than a Mac. (And I kind of agree with you too.) I would never sink to the level that I would actually buy a pee-see but your letter is a wake up call...

:) It's in the Login panel of System Preferences on the second Tab. Just check name and password entry fields and things will be just like OSX 10.0.4 and you can log right in as root! I sure was glad when I noticed that option was there; I thought I had lost root access!
