You could use Image Capture (comes with Mac OS X) to transfer images from your camera to your Mac. It's in your Applications folder. As a matter of fact, that's what starts up iPhoto when you connect your camera. Image Capture will let you import either all your images, or only some of them...

I don't think it's the word "forum as I just noticed another post with that word in the title. More than likely the problem is the forward slash "/", as that is a path delimiter in Mac OS X (and unix, Linux, ect). Marc

If this is one of the new PowerBooks (the ones with the two finger scroll and Sudden Motion Sensor) it could be that the Sudden Motion Sensor is detecting the tilt and parking the hard drive heads. This was designed to protect the hard drive in the event of a fall. Regards, Marc

On a PowerBook that has a backlit keyboard, as F9 and F10 are used to control the brightness of the backlight. I guess we'll have to use modifiers (Ctl, shift, Option). Regards, Marc
