I don't think it's the word "forum as I just noticed another post with that word in the title. More than likely the problem is the forward slash "/", as that is a path delimiter in Mac OS X (and unix, Linux, ect).

If this is one of the new PowerBooks (the ones with the two finger scroll and Sudden Motion Sensor) it could be that the Sudden Motion Sensor is detecting the tilt and parking the hard drive heads. This was designed to protect the hard drive in the event of a fall.

1) Select a clip and click on Edit ..Copy, then create a new project and paste it in, or
2) A better way would be to click on the Share menu, where you can either export for E-Mail or the web...

On a PowerBook that has a backlit keyboard, as F9 and F10 are used to control the brightness of the backlight. I guess we'll have to use modifiers (Ctl, shift, Option).
