    Pismo CD Eject

also, if you have multiple removable drive connected, it will eject them all! I have successfully annoyed myself by ejecting my DVD-drive, CD-RW and DVD-RAM all at the same time!

    Pismo CD Eject

I don't know if anyone had noticed this, but I just bumped the F12 button on my pismo, and discovered that it works as a cd eject button, much like the eject on a iBook. I'm not sure if this feature is new to 10.1 or has been around.

    OS X 10.2 Codename Taja

Of course 10.2 is already in development. 10.3 and 10.4 are probably in development too. When you are developing an ongoing project such as an operating system you don't just come up with a few goals and set all your engineers to it. The proper way is to come up with a bunch of goals, split your...

    G64 Proof!!!

According to Apple's Darwin site, OS X 10.1 should have Darwin version 1.4.1. According to my copy of 5g64, it says it has only version 1.4, and the dev tools have errors that I can't believe Apple would allow to ship out the door. So I think it's quite possible that there are newer builds.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein MP Test OS X

Wolfmp worked great on my computer. I have a BW with a 500mhz g4 card. I do have 768mb ram, which may help a little bit. I have not tried it on my powerbook, but I did play it on my friends pc, and it was incredibly slow, with worse graphics. THis may have been because his computer is not very...

    The Sims

It works great, however I have one problem: The game keeps freezing! The weird thing is that the computer is not frozen, as background tasks keep running perfectly fine. You can hit command-option-escape to try and bring up the force quit window, but it won't display. The cursor changes...

    AOL for MAC OS X!!!

I'm really pleased with this version of AOL. It does not have the speed problems that plague instant messenger. It's not a bad app. Hopefully the next version of Instant Messenger will run this well.

    Compiling C++ code

Project Builder is easy to use too. All you have to do is start a new project and when it asks for the type you select "C++ Tool". Then, you can just type all your stuff into the main.cpp and then click the build button. It will save the compiled program as the name of your project in your...

AOL Instant Messenger -- When WilL We Have Support?

Since AOL is slow slow and uses 2-10% CPU when idle with the buddy list open, you are wasting a lot of CPU time. TIP: If you close the buddy list window AIM will only use 0-2% of the CPU when idle. You can still here the sounds for people signing on and off, and of course messages. If you want...

    AIM Supported MacOS X HERE!!!!

This program sucks in my opinion. I've never seen a program kill a processor quicker in my life. For example: AIM sitting idle used 2-10% of the CPU. Typing into an AIM window uses 30-40% of the CPU. This is just ridiculous. I can type in Omniweb an text will appear as I type, in AIM, the text...

AOL Instant Messenger -- When WilL We Have Support?

This version of AIM is really slow. Hopefully this is just a problem with this version of the program. They need to make it easier to turn off the news/stock tickers. I'm just glad they actually got the program released though.

AOL Instant Messenger -- When WilL We Have Support?

Today AOL started a survey for their beta testers to see who would be interested in AOL/AIM for OS X. If you ask me it's a little late to try and figure out what the demand will be. However, they did note that soon there would be a version of AOL for OS X (for beta testers only). I would expect...
