Well Notifications and Sounds are both turned off.
But went into word and typed 'ssn <space>' to check. And the voices says 'oops'

The odd thing is that Office Notifications are turned on but sounds have been turned off.
One other thing: Preferences (underneath 'Turn On/Off sounds") is greyed out.
Perhaps I need to trash the existing Office Notifications and start anew?

It's gotta be a simple solution but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.
I'm talking about the little error voices that happen in Office 2004 programs, like the 'oops' when I type an incorrectly spelled word or 'grammar error' when I improperly construct a sentence.
