If you want it to be like a pc, get a microsoft mouse and use their drivers. If you want it to have the accel and tracking speed you desire, get SteerMouse.

get quicksilver and make a trigger. use Adium > Reveal. Or it might be adium>show. figure out which command it is and set that to a quicksilver trigger, and you're all set.

with flip4mac, VLC, and quicktime you should be able to play anything.
