I did read what DeltaMac stated which only makes me upset...lol I spend $300 on the iBook which I now need to recover at the very least. It's unfortunate that something that seems like an easy fix is one that requires you to do so much. I wish I could just replace the firmware...
I'm finding something odd with the error codes.
I get the following strange code.
2ROM/1/2:
0x5 w/o ram in top slot & airport card
0x6 w/ ram in top slot
0x7 w/ airport express card
0x6 w/o ram in top slot + airport card in
The cable was faulty because it would go blue screen more often then not till I noticed the adapter wasn't connecting to the ribbon properly. The funny thing was once I held the cable tight to the hard drive I was able to boot into OS X but it would freeze after a few minutes. I know the hard...
I recently bought an iBook G4 14" 1Ghz w/ 512MB of Ram. The system seemed to have an issue I thought I could "fix" myself. Well at this point nothing has gone the way I had hoped.
Here is my issue: I can boot into OS X Tiger with little to no problems now that I replaced the hard drive cable...
